I’m Linda Lau — author of Essential Oil Recipes for Everyday Use, clinical leadership mentor, and single mum to a teenage daughter.
I grew up as the eldest in an Asian family, where caring for our elders was both love and responsibility. When my father’s health declined, I supported my parents while managing a demanding career. During my pregnancy, I realised my marriage wasn’t working; it lingered for five to six years before my husband moved out and another one to two years before we divorced.

My essential oil journey began when my daughter was very young. She wasn’t a good sleeper from birth, so I started with gentle bedtime blends to help her relax and rest. Seeing how they soothed her, I began using essential oils for myself — first for calm and emotional regulation, and later at work for focus and clarity. What began as a simple way to help us both sleep better evolved into an everyday practice that brought calm to my home, my team, and myself.
In my professional life, for years, I led teams, managed compliance, and held everything together—while quietly questioning my worth. Management do not often acknowledge my ability and yet my team saw me—the hard work, the care, the quiet steadiness. They followed my lead, creating a calmer, safer workspace. I became the person they confided in before speaking to their own managers, the one who held things together when the pressure rose. I was the steady anchor, both at work and at home.
On the outside, I appeared composed—gliding smoothly like a swan across water—but underneath, my legs were constantly paddling to stay afloat. That constant motion, the pressure to hold everything together, eventually led me to seek balance, stillness, and truth. Essential oils became part of that healing process—a bridge between the calm I created for others and the calm I finally began offering myself.
To empower carers, professionals, and families to find balance, confidence, and calm through education, mentorship, and the mindful use of essential oils.
I believe that leadership and wellbeing are inseparable—and that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves.
A world where leaders, mothers, and caregivers thrive with clarity and compassion.
Where homes and workplaces honour emotional wellbeing as deeply as performance.
Where healing and connection are cultivated through small daily acts of presence, purpose, and heart.
My approach is equal parts heart and evidence. I investigate what works, keep it simple, and teach it with grounded compassion. Whether you’re a caregiver, clinician, or parent, I want you to have everyday tools that bring you back to yourself—calm, clear, and confident—one drop at a time.
